Andrea Sauer

Andrea Sauer is a graduate research assistant on the Targeted Reading Intervention: Diagnostic Reading Strategies for Struggling Readers in Rural Schools within the National Research Center on Rural Education Support and a Ph.D. candidate in the School Psychology program at UNC-Chapel Hill. After her undergraduate work in Spanish and Psychology at the University of Virginia, she was involved in social work in California before deciding to pursue a doctorate that emphasized the role of prevention measures. Andrea’s research interests include early childhood intervention and prevention, supporting culturally and linguistically diverse children and families, and supporting positive academic and psychological outcomes for all children.
