Laura Kovalchick is a Social Research Assistant for the National Research Center on Rural Education Support. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Psychology, and a concentration in Child and Family Counseling. Her previous research experience included working in the Social Developmental Lab at NCSU. The areas of her focus included; examining parent’s beliefs about children’s emotions, and the love languages between parents and children. Currently, her responsibilities at the center include; field data collection, data entry, data analysis, and project administration for the Rural Early Adolescent Learning Project.
