The Supporting Rural Schools and Communities Research Conference

The National Research Center on Rural Education Support held a two-day research conference on November 5-6, 2009 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. NRCRES researchers and other prominent researchers in the field of rural education shared information and recent findings regarding the following topics:

Keynote speakers for this conference were Dr. Lynn Okagaki from the Institute for Educational Sciences at the US Department of Education, Dr. Mark Greenberg from the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at the Pennsylvania State University, and Dr. Rachel Tompkins from the Rural School and Community Trust.
